Job Summary
The Buzz Hub Collective is seeking a confident and experienced SEMH Intervention Specialist (HLTA level) to deliver targeted, high-impact support within our Onsite Alternative Provision (AP).
This is not a traditional classroom role. You will lead small-group and 1:1 sessions focused on:
- Emotional regulation
- Engagement in learning
- Social development
- Reintegration into education
You’ll deliver practical, hands-on learning experiences such as cooking, science, forest school, and movement-based interventions.
What You’ll Be Doing - Deliver Targeted Interventions
- Lead sessions for pupils (1:1 – 1:6)
- Deliver engaging activities including:
- Cooking
- Science
- Forest school
- Wellbeing & life skills
Support SEMH Development
- Use a regulation-first approach
- Support children through dysregulation calmly and consistently
- Balance clear boundaries with flexible engagement strategies
Additional Opportunities
- Support after-school provision (optional)
- Help shape and develop intervention programmes
About You
Essential
- HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience
- Experience working with:
- SEND
- SEMH needs
- Behaviour support
- Confident leading small groups independently
- Strong understanding of emotional regulation strategies
Desirable
- Experience in Alternative Provision
- Forest school / outdoor learning experience
- Coaching or sports background
- Experience delivering interventions (not just supporting)

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Typically 8:30am – 4:30pm (flexibility depending on role structure)
