We’re looking for a Surgical Care Practitioner to join our Theatres team at London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. As one of HCA Healthcare UK’s flagship hospitals, London Bridge Hospital is known for delivering complex and highly specialised care across a wide range of surgical specialties. As a Surgical Care Practitioner in our Theatres Department, you’ll be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team supporting a diverse range of surgical procedures. Acting as a Surgical Care Practitioner within HCA Healthcare UK, you’ll work as an integral member of the surgical team, supporting surgeons and other healthcare professionals before, during and after surgery. The role includes delivering preoperative and postoperative care, assisting during procedures and undertaking agreed clinical interventions under the supervision of a senior surgeon. Alongside a varied surgical caseload, you’ll have the opportunity to work collaboratively with leading consultants and specialist teams, contributing to strong patient outcomes within a supportive and progressive theatre environment.

What you’ll do:

Act as a Surgical Care Practitioner within HCA Healthcare UK, delivering high quality care across the surgical pathway

Support surgeons and healthcare professionals before, during and after surgical procedures

Deliver preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring safe and effective clinical outcomes

Undertake agreed clinical and surgical interventions under the supervision of a senior surgeon

Work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary surgical team, contributing to high standards of patient care
What you’ll bring:

Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner
-
MSc, PG Cert or PG Dip in Surgical Care Practice
-
Current registration as a healthcare professional such as Nurse or ODP
-
Experience working as a qualified Surgical Care Practitioner
-
A complete and up-to-date clinical logbook
