Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Computer Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and equipment. Your technical expertise will ensure our customers receive top-quality service and support, helping them stay connected and productive.
You will also assist with the day-to-day running of the shop ie serving customers and managing stock.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues across a variety of computer systems and peripherals
- Repair and replace computer components using appropriate hand tools and techniques
- Perform routine maintenance on computer hardware, including cleaning, testing, and upgrades
- Assist with computer networking setup, configuration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal connectivity
- Use mechanical knowledge to disassemble, repair, or replace faulty equipment parts
- Document repair procedures, maintenance activities, and system configurations accurately
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience handling computer hardware components
- Proficiency with hand tools used in equipment repair and maintenance
- Solid understanding of computer hardware systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with computer repair, maintenance, and upgrades in a professional setting
- Knowledge of computer networking principles for setup and troubleshooting purposes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues
- Retail/Customer Service experience

The role & hours will be flexible, with a requirement to work at the three sites, Bude, Holsworthy & Okehampton so a driving license is critical. While this is "zero hour" it is anticipated to be anywhere from two to four days per week; with more as the business expands.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Experience:
- Retail sales: 1 year (required)
- IT support: 3 years (preferred)
- Computer repair: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
