CleanTech People are looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Officer / Building Surveyor to support the delivery of planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance across a diverse property portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in building maintenance, surveying, refurbishment and property services who is looking for a part-time temporary assignment.
The Role
You will provide professional building surveying and technical maintenance support, helping to ensure properties remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing professional building surveying and maintenance advice.
Supporting planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance programmes.
Supporting refurbishment and improvement projects.
Preparing specifications, designs and technical details for works.
Procuring and coordinating maintenance and refurbishment works.
Responding to and monitoring technical queries and maintenance requests.
Reviewing condition surveys and making recommendations for remedial works.
Preparing budget estimates, feasibility studies and cost plans.
Assisting with tender and contract documentation.
Supporting the certification of contractor payments.
Planning and coordinating planned maintenance and new installations.
Providing technical guidance to internal teams, contractors and external organisations.
Ensuring works comply with relevant legislation, regulations, health & safety requirements and organisational procedures.
Working closely with contractors, consultants, statutory undertakers and other stakeholders.
Keeping up to date with changes in legislation, regulations and building maintenance practices.
Visiting properties and worksites across the area as required.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Experience in building maintenance, building surveying or property services.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance and construction.
Experience managing or supporting planned and reactive maintenance.
Experience with refurbishment or improvement projects.
Experience producing technical specifications and estimates.
Understanding of relevant building regulations, legislation and health & safety requirements.
Experience working with contractors and consultants.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
The confidence to work independently and as part of a wider team.
The ability to travel across the Wrexham area to attend properties, sites and meetings.
