Are you looking for a dynamic role where no two days are the same? We are a growing removals company looking for a reliable, hardworking Removals Driver & Packing Specialist to join our team.
This role starts on a casual, sporadic basis—perfect for someone looking for flexible extra days. However, as our peak season ramps up, this position has strong potential to transition into a consistent, full-time role for the right candidate.
You won't just be sitting behind the wheel. You will be a face of our company, guiding clients through what can be a stressful day by safely packing, moving, and unpacking their valued belongings.
Key Responsibilities
Driving: Safely operating our removal vehicles (up to 3.5t luton vans) between pickup and drop-off locations.
Packing & Unpacking: Carefully wrapping, boxing, and securing fragile items, electronics, and furniture using protective materials. Training can be available.
Loading & Lifting: Heavy lifting, carrying, and loading furniture and boxes into the van efficiently to maximize space and prevent transit damage.
Customer Service: Maintaining a polite, professional, and reassuring attitude with clients on-site.
Requirements & Qualifications
Driving Licence: Full, clean UK Driving Licence (held for at least 2 years for insurance purposes). Experience driving larger vans is highly preferred.
Physical Fitness: This is a highly physical role. You must be comfortable lifting heavy items and being on your feet for long periods.
Reliability & Flexibility: Because the schedule is currently sporadic, we need someone who is highly dependable and communicative when shifts become available.
Attention to Detail: A careful eye when packing is crucial to ensure zero breakages.
