The Support Services Lead Hand is responsible for overseeing daily operations in both Food & Environmental Services to ensure a safe, efficient, and resident-focused environment. It includes daily check-ins with staff, conducting routine audits, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position also involves addressing resident needs and concerns, supporting new admissions, coordinating services like catering and laundry, and maintaining cleanliness and infection control protocols throughout the facility.

Status: Temporary Full-Time
Schedule: Days/Evenings/Weekends [7.5 hr shifts]
Department: Food and Environmental Services -Grove
Hourly Rate: $22.88 – $25.37 (Rate effective:9-Oct-25)

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education
- Certificate in Housekeeping Management for Health Care Institutions preferred (or related experience)
- Housekeeping and Dietary experience in a long-term care/ health care facility is preferred
- Must be physically capable of carrying out the duties of the position
- Current knowledge and experience with PIDAC infection control standards required
- Proficient with technology, with strong data entry skills and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks efficiently preferred
- Ability to train others in the correct use of equipment and products
- Ability to communicate effectively, ability to understand, interpret and carry out written and verbal instructions, good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent team management/leadership skills required
