An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Hospital Nurse to join an independently owned veterinary hospital with a strong focus on high quality patient care.
This is a varied hospital based nursing position, rotating through theatre, wards and discharges, with minimal branch cover and consulting. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team within an independently owned hospital, with the opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of hospital nursing.
The hospital's inpatients remain on site overnight as the practice provides its own OOH service, ensuring continuity of care for hospitalised patients. There is no OOH requirement attached to this position.
Hours
Full-time hours are available on either:
- 5 x 8-hour days or 4 x 10-hour days
There is a 1:7 weekend rota, with 2 days off following a weekend worked plus 1 bank holiday per year.
Day to day duties
- Rotating through theatre, wards and discharges
- Providing high quality inpatient care
- Supporting surgical and hospitalised cases
- Working as part of the wider hospital team
- Minimal branch cover and consulting
- Contributing to the smooth running of the hospital and maintaining high standards of patient care
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys hospital based nursing and working as part of a collaborative team.
Newly qualified RVNs are very welcome to apply, making this an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their nursing career to build confidence and develop their clinical skills within a supportive hospital environment.
You should be organised, proactive and passionate about providing excellent patient care. Previous hospital experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
