Puddleducks Wrest Park is looking for a qualified Level 3 Practitioner to join our baby room team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a calm, nurturing and stimulating environment where our youngest children feel safe, secure and ready to explore.

About the role
As a Baby Room Practitioner, you will:
- Provide warm, responsive and individualised care for babies and younger toddlers
- Build secure and trusting relationships with children and their families
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate experiences based on children’s interests and development
- Support feeding, sleeping and personal-care routines with patience and sensitivity
- Observe and record children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Work as a key person, keeping parents and carers informed about their child’s day and progress
- Maintain a safe, stimulating and well-organised environment
- Work closely with your room team and the nursery’s leadership team
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
About you
We would love to hear from someone who:
- Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Has some previous experience working in a baby room or caring for children under two
- Is caring, patient and genuinely passionate about the early years
- Understands the importance of attachment, consistent routines and responsive care
- Communicates warmly and professionally with parents, carers and colleagues
- Is reliable, positive and enjoys being part of a close-knit team
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities
A current paediatric first-aid certificate and registration with the DBS Update Service would be beneficial, but neither is essential. Training and support can be provided where required.

Working hours
This is a permanent, full-time position working 41.25 hours across five days per week, Monday to Friday.
