Overview
I am seeking a reliable, hardworking person to join my team on a Subcontractor basis to carry out various jobs on their own whether it be a garden border that needs weeding, shrub maintenance and/or wherever else they may pop up. Due to increase demand, I need someone who is able to work alone on these jobs with the potential of working together on big jobs. This role does not include lawn cutting, tree work etc. This is mostly for jobs that I don't have time to accommodate myself in my busy schedule.
Duties
- Planting, watering, fertilising, and pruning a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees
- Operating hand tools such as spades, shears, and rakes to maintain garden borders.
- Conducting landscape maintenance (weeding) and potentially pruning to maintain a tidy border.
- Monitoring garden conditions
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable but not essential if you can identify the difference between a weed and a plant
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools. Must own the basic hand tools required for weeding.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in garden upkeep
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as digging, lifting, and manoeuvring equipment
- A genuine interest in gardening
- A valid driver’s licence is essential as you'll be working alone.
- Must be willing to own PLI (Public Liability Insurance) before starting.
