About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of façade packages, including Steel Framing Systems (SFS), curtain walling, cladding, and window installations on major construction projects.
Working for a specialist subcontractor, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the installation process while working closely with the main contractor, design teams, site management, and supply chain to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple façade, SFS, and window installation projects from pre-start through to completion.
- Coordinate site activities, labour, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
- Liaise daily with the main contractor, client representatives, consultants, and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, monitoring progress against key milestones.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve site issues, programme risks, and technical challenges.
- Attend site meetings, progress meetings, and client reviews.
- Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, design coordination, and document control.
- Monitor project costs, variations, and commercial performance alongside the commercial team.
- Coordinate inspections, snagging, and project handovers.
- Produce regular progress reports and communicate updates to senior management.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager working for a main contractor or specialist façade contractor.
- Strong background managing SFS, façade, curtain walling, cladding, and window installation packages.
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and coordination with other trades.
- Experience delivering projects on live construction sites.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong programme management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Manager Card.
- First Aid at Work (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- Experience managing high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- Knowledge of QA procedures, field management software, and digital project reporting.
- Familiarity with design coordination and value engineering processes.
