About Craigie’s
Craigie’s is a family-run farm and visitor destination near Edinburgh, built around seasonal experiences, great food, and authentic countryside fun. The business comprises a working farm, farm shop & deli and a café situated in the beautiful countryside between Queensferry and Edinburgh.
What we are looking for
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of bakery products, including bread, pastries, and cakes
- Support the food production process by measuring ingredients accurately and following recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers safely and efficiently
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before packaging or presentation
- Help with inventory management by organising ingredients and supplies
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or baking is desirable but not Essential
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary practices is beneficial
- Experience working in a bakery, restaurant, or similar food service environment is preferred but not essential
- Practical skills in cooking, baking, and food presentation will be advantageous
