About the Role
As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a room team to deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will create a welcoming environment for children and families while ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, care, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of practitioners.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities following the EYFS framework.
- Monitor children's learning and development and maintain accurate observations and assessments.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on children's progress.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development.
- Mentor and support team members, apprentices, and students.
- Work closely with the management team to maintain outstanding standards throughout the nursery.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) recognised in the UK.
- Previous experience working in an early years setting.
- Experience leading or supervising a nursery room is desirable.
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
