Duties
- Operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and in accordance with road safety laws and company policies
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in optimal condition
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times, adjusting plans as necessary for traffic or other delays
- Follow all health and safety procedures during driving, loading, and unloading activities
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- experience in commercial driving preferred
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
