At FASTSIGNS Solihull we are looking for a Design & Production Specialist to help us build our new centre from the ground up.
We aren't just an "established shop" where you’ll follow old routines. You will be a founding member of our production team, helping us set the standard for quality and creativity in the West Midlands. As part of a global network of over 750 centres (and over 23 right here in the UK), you’ll have the backing of a world-class brand while working in a tight-knit, agile local team.
The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
This is a truly varied role. One hour you’ll be designing a high-impact brand identity; the next, you’ll be operating a large-format printer or out on-site installing a storefront.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design: Using Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Illustrator) to create, amend, and prep customer artwork for print.
- Print & Production: Operating our large-format printers, plotters, and laminators to bring designs to life on a variety of materials.
- Installation: Taking the finished product to the client’s premises and installing smaller installations such as window vinyls and static signage
- Workflow Management: Managing the "RIP" software, ordering materials, and ensuring our quality control is second to none.
- Logistics: Packing, delivering, and occasionally managing the "paperwork" to keep projects on track.
What You Bring to the Team
We need a "Swiss Army Knife" of a professional, someone who is technically skilled and physically capable.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with Adobe Illustrator and large-format print production.
- Hands-on Skills: Confidence using power tools and installing graphics (vehicle wraps or high-level signage experience is a massive plus).
- On the Road: A full UK driving license is essential for site visits and installs.
- A Proactive Mindset: You are organised, great at managing your own time, and thrive in the fast-paced environment of a brand-new business.
Crucially, you must also:
- Have a great sense of humor (essential for the "launch" phase!).
- Enjoy working with fun, hardworking people.
- Be able to make a cup of coffee to a specific Pantone colour. (Standard FASTSIGNS Solihull quality control!)

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
