Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Electrical Trainer to inspire and educate aspiring electricians and renewables installers. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training programs that cover essential electrical skills, safety protocols, and industry best practices. As an Electrical Trainer, you will play a vital role in shaping skilled professionals who excel in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions on electrical systems, wiring techniques, safety standards, and related topics.
- Assess learners’ progress through practical demonstrations, assessments, and feedback sessions.
- Develop training materials, manuals, and visual aids that enhance understanding and retention.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, new technologies, and best practices in electrical work.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences with varying levels of experience.
- Organize training schedules, manage classroom logistics, and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with industry partners and employers to align training programs with current job market needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or related fields with strong technical expertise.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively teach and engage learners.
- Prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable; ability to simplify complex concepts is essential.
- Knowledge of solar photovoltaic, battery storage and electric vehicle charging systems is a plus for integrated technical training environments.
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage schedules, and maintain training records.
- Familiarity with IT tools for creating digital training content and managing learner progress.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and industry stakeholders to continuously improve training quality.
- Level 3 or Advanced Craft Certificate in Electrical Installation with relevant industry experience
- Teaching and assessing qualifications (essential)
- IQA qualification advantageous but not essential

Pay: £25,420.00-£28,460.00 per year
