We are recruiting a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team in Brighton, working Monday to Friday (including Bank Holidays).
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment across our services. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, including both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance.
You will complete all aspects of property maintenance (including joinery, plumbing, PAT testing, painting and gardening) to a high standard in line with the local authority contract, current legislation and relevant Health and Safety regulations.
Experience across a range of maintenance disciplines would be advantageous. and we are particularly interested in candidates with a recognised qualification in either plumbing or electrical installation (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or Level 2 with significant relevant experience would be desirable).
You should have previous experience within a maintenance role in a medium to large organisation, residential setting, hotel, healthcare environment or similar, with the ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

· Excellent knowledge of construction and maintenance
· Keen problem-solving abilities.
· Good attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to multitask and focus on multiple responsibilities
· Ability to use your own initiative to set your own deadlines and prioritise a heavy and reactive workload
· A well organised and structured in approach with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
You should have a compassionate and non-judgemental approach with the ability to show empathy towards service users and communicate at all levels, including with colleagues across the business.
You must be able to drive our company van and materials between sites and be willing to undergo a company paid basic DBS check.
