Overview
TMC Security Services Ltd are seeking enthusiastic and professional Event Day Stewards to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our sporting and music events. This role involves engaging with spectators, managing crowd control, and providing excellent guest services to enhance the overall matchday experience. The ideal candidate will possess a welcoming demeanour, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all attendees. There are currently vacancies for Stewards and SIA licensed security officers in South East London and West London.
Duties
- Welcome spectators and provide assistance as needed to ensure a positive experience
- Monitor entrances and exits to manage crowd flow effectively
- Enforce stadium policies and safety regulations throughout the event
- Conduct security checks in accordance with established procedures
- Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, liaising with security or emergency services when necessary
- Assist guests with directions, seating queries, and general enquiries
- Maintain a visible presence around the stadium to deter anti-social behaviour
- Support event staff in setting up or dismantling equipment if required
- Complete relevant documentation or reports following each matchday
Skills
- Good communication skills to interact confidently with spectators and team members
- Strong management and organisational abilities to oversee crowd control effectively
- Excellent hospitality skills with a focus on delivering outstanding guest services
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and manage crowd movements efficiently
- Prior experience in security, hospitality, or guest services is advantageous but not essential; training will be offered to all successful applicants
- Staff MUST have a L2 Spectator Safety qualification - this will be discussed with a member of the team at the initial phone screen
