We are recruiting an experienced Supported Living Manager to lead high-quality, person-centred services and drive outstanding outcomes for clients. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for compliance, quality, performance, and service development.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture
- Lead an open, transparent, and inclusive culture focused on personalised support and continuous learning.
- Provide strong leadership to Senior Management, administration, support teams, and operational functions.
- Deliver supervision, appraisals, performance management, and succession planning for senior staff.
- Be highly visible across services, leading by example and supporting teams in practice.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain and improve CQC ratings, working towards an Outstanding standard.
- Ensure compliance with CQC Single Assessment Framework and Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture guidance.
- Complete monthly audits, risk reviews, and quality assurance processes.
- Oversee complaints, investigations (including Section 42), and ensure learning is embedded across teams.
- Ensure policies and procedures (QCS) are current and implemented.
Operational & Financial Management
- Manage services within agreed budgets and provide regular financial reporting.
- Review senior team reports monthly and develop action plans where required.
- Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and HR matters in collaboration with HR consultants.
- Provide on-call leadership support and crisis management when required.
- Ensure data protection compliance and DSPT submission.
Strategic Development & Growth
- Work with Directors to develop and implement strategic and organisational plans.
- Build strong relationships with Commissioners, CQC, MDT professionals and stakeholders.
- Lead on service marketing, commissioning, funding reviews, and occupancy growth.
- Identify market opportunities to expand and sustain services.
- Oversee website, social media, and promotional activity.
Client & Staff Engagement
- Ensure clients are at the heart of service delivery.
- Chair meetings, lead feedback forums, and promote continuous improvement.
- Embed multidisciplinary team working.
- Promote wellbeing, celebrate milestones, and foster a positive service identity.
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Experience as a Registered Manager within health and social care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, Safeguarding, MCA & DoLS, and governance frameworks.
- Proven leadership, financial management, and service development skills.
- In-depth understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- Training qualification desirable (or willingness to work towards).
