Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Support clients with medication administration and meal preparation to promote health and nutrition.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a respectful and caring relationship.
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially when caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Support clients with specialised needs such as hospice or dementia care, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
- Follow care plans accurately and document all care provided in compliance with organisational standards.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by applying first aid procedures when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid is desirable; however, training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts.

Pay: £12.42-£13.00 per hour
