Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide high-quality support to clients in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the well-being and comfort of those in their care. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfer activities, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Support clients in engaging with social activities and promoting their independence
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all clients
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when necessary
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and following care plans
- Valid driving licence is desirable for home care roles involving travel between locations
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times
