Job Summary
Cardiff Engineering is looking for an experienced CNC/Manual Machinist to join our repair and servicing workshop in Cardiff. You will set, program, and operate a Correa A10 bed milling machine handling one-offs and batch work for heavy industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate the Correa A10 bed milling machine.
- Program directly from drawings using the Heidenhain TNC 320 screen. (most jobs already have programme)
- Manually adjust the universal milling head for cutting angles.
- Mount workpieces up to 1,000 kg using a 2-tonne gantry crane.
- Self-inspect parts using standard precision measuring tools.
Requirements (Must-Have):
- Essential: Proven experience using the Heidenhain TNC 320 control system.
- Preferred: Direct experience operating a Correa A10 bed mill or similar 1500mm x 600.
- Confident ability to read and interpret geometric engineering drawings.
- Competence with manual machine adjustments and manual data input (MDI).
