Halman Thompson creates bespoke brass, copper and steel pieces for homes, restaurants, hotels and commercial spaces throughout the UK. From handcrafted splashbacks and table tops to bar tops and feature pieces, every item is made to order and finished by hand.
Our production process combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques. We work closely with specialist fabrication partners and complete the finishing, ageing, quality control and dispatch of products through our workshop and office operations.
We are looking for a highly organised, practical and detail-oriented individual to join our team and help coordinate production from start to finish.
The Role
This is a varied role that bridges our workshop, office and external fabrication partners. You will primarily be based in our workshop, overseeing production progress and quality standards, while also working closely with our office team to plan workloads, manage priorities and ensure orders are delivered on time.
You will play a key role in maintaining the exceptionally high standards our customers expect. This includes inspecting completed pieces, approving or rejecting work based on quality standards, coordinating any required rework and adjusting production schedules where necessary.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for visiting our fabrication partners in Team Valley, helping coordinate workloads and ensuring projects remain on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess completed products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Approve or reject finished pieces based on finish quality, specification and overall presentation.
- Coordinate any required rework and adjust production schedules accordingly.
- Plan and prioritise workshop workloads to ensure customer deadlines are achieved.
- Liaise daily with our office team regarding order progress, lead times and production requirements.
- Visit fabrication partners in Team Valley to coordinate production schedules and project requirements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and fabrication partners.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
- Assist with dispatch planning and ensure completed orders are prepared accurately.
- Maintain clear communication between workshop, office and external suppliers.
- Work with the office team to forecast material requirements based on upcoming orders.
- Help improve processes and workflow efficiency where possible.
- Support the maintenance of a clean, organised and professional workshop environment.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

- Knowledge of metalworking, fabrication or finishing processes.
