Overview
Join our compassionate team as a Companion Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) providing dedicated, live-in care from Wednesday through Sunday afternoon. Duties
- Provide attentive, respectful companionship to clients, fostering social interaction and emotional support throughout your shift
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support in accordance with care plans
- Administer medication reminders and monitor health indicators as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain clear communication with clients about their needs and preferences to ensure personalized care delivery
- Support clients in meal preparation and light household tasks to promote a safe and comfortable living environment
- Document daily activities, observations, and any changes in health status accurately and promptly
- Drive clients to appointments or errands when necessary, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
Experience
- Prior experience working in a care home or home care setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of creating and following detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers
- Basic IT skills for documenting care activities and updating records electronically
- Valid driving license and reliable vehicle for transportation duties are advantageous
- Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as medication management, mobility assistance, and personal hygiene support
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the team
