CAF is currently delivering a number of mainline and metro projects in the UK with future orders in the pipeline. Each of these projects will be authorised into service by the Office of Rail and Road, in accordance with the Railway Interoperability Regulations 2011 or via the railway undertakings own assurance and approvals processes. In addition to this compatibility with Network Rail infrastructure and that of any other affected party, has to be demonstrated before delivery, testing and service operation can begin. This is a key role which will ensure that these activities are undertaken on time.
The Approvals Project Manager will be a key member of the project core team, responsible for delivering authorisation and approval of the vehicles in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards for each stage of the project. The Approvals Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of technical submissions to the Certification Bodies and Network Rail to ensure on time delivery, testing and entry into service of the vehicles.
