A Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) payment of £4,700 gross per annum pro rata applies to this position in addition to annual salary, subject to review every financial year.
Do you have experience in stores, logistics, procurement or engineering supplies?
As Estates Stores Person, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the Estates and Facilities stores, ensuring stock is ordered, received, controlled and issued efficiently. You'll play an important role in supporting maintenance teams and ensuring critical supplies are available when needed.
We're looking for someone with:
Stores, procurement or stock control experience
Knowledge of engineering, building or maintenance materials
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
IT literacy and record-keeping experience
A proactive and customer-focused approach
1. Prepare formal order requisitions for stock and non stock parts, spares, components, materials and equipment and/or the replenishment of stock items, all to meet the needs of the capital, estates and facilities services, strictly in accordance with official procedures, liaising as necessary with suppliers and specialists. Ensure that goods obtained are of the highest quality available for the most economic price.
2. Receive and be the authorised signatory for deliveries, ensuring these are accounted for on Order Requisitions, check and assess condition and if found not fit, return these to the originating supplier, completing required documentation as necessary.
3. Issue materials, (including facilities), stores, plant and safety equipment, ensuring all items are correctly requisitioned according to the trust’s and capital, estates and facilities departmental policies and procedures and that the relevant paperwork is completed in all cases.
4. Be responsible for the security of the estates controlled main and subsidiary stores.
5. Maintain adequate stocks of electrical, mechanical and building parts and components, plant, tools and equipment, white goods, PPE and general consumables all to meet the needs of the estates maintenance service. In conjunction with the Systems and Compliance Manager monitor such stock levels/usage and amend to meet the service needs, as and when appropriate.
