We’re recruiting two experienced, quality-focused Residential Service Manager to lead our new residential services opening later this year in Mansfield.
These services will support young adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the realities of complex care and is confident leading services where positive behaviour support, risk management, and person-centred practice are essential.
About the services
The services will support young adults with varying levels of learning disabilities and complex needs. Support levels will vary depending on individual need and may include 1:1, 2:1, or higher-level support.
You’ll play a key role in building services that support people to develop life skills, increase independence, and live meaningful, active lives in the community. No two days will be the same, and strong, visible leadership will be essential to creating safe, stable, and positive environments.
Your role
You’ll have full accountability for the quality, safety, and performance of the services, including:
- Leading the day-to-day and 24-hour operational management of residential services
- Supporting the mobilisation and development of new services
- Ensuring services meet and exceed CQC Fundamental Standards
- Maintaining CQC registration, including notifications and compliance processes
- Embedding positive behaviour support, risk management, and person-centred planning
- Leading, supporting, and performance-managing staff to deliver high-quality care
- Managing budgets, rotas, staffing, occupancy, and KPIs
- Working closely with families, professionals, commissioners, and internal teams
You’ll be supported by an experienced Area Manager and an Internal PBS Specialist, alongside tailored training and development.
Who we’re looking for

You’ll bring:
- Proven experience managing residential services for people with learning disabilities and complex needs
- Experience supporting young adults and high-acuity services
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and health & social care legislation
- A solid understanding of positive behaviour support and risk management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and staff management skills
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in challenging situations
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service
