As we expand our popular breakfast menu, we’re looking for a motivated and reliable Breakfast Chef or Breakfast Cook & Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team.
Whether you’re an experienced breakfast chef or someone with kitchen experience who enjoys cooking and wants to develop your skills, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for helping deliver a high-quality breakfast service, ensuring every customer receives a delicious meal served to a consistently high standard.
Your responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking breakfast dishes during service
- Assisting with food preparation before opening
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food hygiene regulations
- Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries and general kitchen duties
- Working efficiently as part of a friendly and supportive team
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Passionate about good food and excellent customer service
- Able to work calmly in a busy kitchen environment
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Experienced in a kitchen or catering role (preferred but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right person)
About the Shepherds Baa
The Shepherds Baa is an independent, family-run café located next to the beautiful Lynford Arboretum and Lakes. Since opening in 2021, we have become a popular destination for walkers, cyclists, families and visitors looking to enjoy great food and drink in a unique woodland setting.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our menu to offer freshly prepared breakfasts and lunches alongside our speciality coffees, teas, homemade cakes and sweet treats. With exciting plans for the future, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team at an exciting stage in our journey.
Hours
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
· You will need to be flexible with your work hours as it will depend on weather, school holidays and seasons and it will include week days, weekends and bank holidays
