Overview
As Receptionist/Front of House you will be at the centre of patient engagement and practice operations. Previous experience of a role within dentistry essential.
The front of desk is responsible for all functional duties of clinical administration: phone and email enquiries handling, conversations and bookings, medical documentation administration (SOE Portal Med checks, logging/saving patient communication, etc.), advanced diary management, check-in and check-out of clients on the day, relationships management.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Ensure the smooth running of reception in order to provide a 5-star standard of service to patients, visitors and staff.
- Book patients in for their appointments accurately.
- Deal with /respond to all phone calls, emails & answerphone messages in an efficient, timely and courteous manner.
- Follow up on any outstanding treatment plans and recalls as needed.
- Collect and record patient payments accurately, encouraging prompt payments and managing outstanding debts.
- Ensuring conversations are updated correctly throughout the day.
- Monitor and modify the clinician's daily schedule.
- Sundry duties to include sorting post, receiving and recording deliveries (ensuring they are put away, making checks and being responsible for allocating them to where they are needed).
- Be well presented, articulate, hard-working, motivated and enthusiastic.
- Have excellent command of the English language both written and spoken, good communicator with high level interpersonal and patient care skills.
- Have good IT & computer skills, including Microsoft Office and saving email documentation and attachments.
- Cashing up and uploading on to management software (DEXT).
Requirements:
- Have previous experience as a dental receptionist.
- Managerial experience.
- Background in dental nursing is accepted to be able to deal with patient queries.
- Previous experience working with specialists.
- Have a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Be proactive.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a good command of written and spoken English.
- Have the ability to multitask and work in a busy environment.
- Experience with Exact software.

£15 per hour to begin with. Full-time position.
