At CAP, we celebrate diversity and strive to build an inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve. We warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from Global Majority/UK Minority Ethnic candidates, as these groups are currently underrepresented within our wider workforce. We are committed to creating an environment where every individual can thrive and feel they belong.
Everything we do is rooted in our values. First and foremost, we are Christ-centred. The work that we do is guided by faith and the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and God’s love.
We are bold in fearlessly putting that faith into action to help others and challenge injustice, while also seeking to be compassionate in the way that we want to understand others and offer them meaningful care. We are collaborative in our approach, making time to learn from others and work together to take on UK poverty. And finally, we prioritise being joyful in the face of challenges, because our fa.th gives us confidence that change is truly possible
Please note that this role is full time, but with flexibility around how these hours could be worked, to be discussed at interview. The role can be worked as a hybrid working pattern with 2-3 days at our Bradford Support Hub, or fully remote.
Technology is a vital catalyst in facilitating CAP's essential anti-poverty initiatives. Operating within a mutli-org Salesforce estate, our specialised technology delivery squad plays a pivotal role in adapting to CAP's evolving requirements, crafting solutions, and empowering our staff and partner churches to leverage opportunities within a dynamic technological landscape. Rather than running a basic tracking database, we engineer an interconnected, multi-cloud platform that serves as our core, mission-critical debt solution system, operating under strict FCA regulatory oversight, alongside solutions for HR, donor, volunteer, and partnership management. In line with enterprise software delivery structures, this environment demands a highly disciplined approach to platform sustainability, data security, and continuous innovation.
As Salesforce Developer, you will play a key role in the programmatic engineering, customisation, integration, and maintenance of our enterprise Salesforce platform. Operating as a core software engineer within our specialised technology squad, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Solution Architect and Business Analysts, to understand business requirements and translate them into performant, secure Salesforce solutions. You will focus on executing clean, test-driven code (Apex, LWCs) within a source-driven development pipeline, ensuring a sustainable balance between custom builds and declarative features while minimising technical debt. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving skills, a track record of standalone coding execution, and a passion for software engineering excellence, tech leadership, and building forward.
We're dedicated to using our technical expertise to offer robust and innovative solutions to the CAP movement. As CAP undergoes a transformative tech journey, we seek individuals with unwavering passion to envision change beyond the ordinary. We want those who believe in the collective power of the church to uplift people from debt and poverty, turning challenges into opportunities. Our new platform is the key to realising CAP's vision for the UK church to serve those most in need. Let our shared passion for Jesus be the guiding light, transforming not just our systems but people's lives.

Working at CAP is more than a job; it’s a commitment to a community and movement. We believe that a healthy culture is the fuel for our mission. This means we prioritise spiritual rhythms in our week—including dedicated time for morning prayer, worship, and team huddles. We are a 'joy-filled' office, which means we celebrate every win, from a client becoming debt-free to a colleague’s personal milestone. We expect our team to be 'all in'—not just in their tasks, but in contributing to a supportive, laughter-filled, and prayerful environment.

Collaborative Bravery: We tackle big problems (like UK poverty) by working across teams and daring to try new things.
