Job Summary

We are looking for a Category & Supply Chain Facilitator to join our Supply Chain team.

This is a full term permanent role, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with an hour unpaid lunch break each day.

Duties

Support VJT own brand product range, assisting in the development and execution of category plans
Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms to optimise costs and service levels.
Working in a fast-paced energetic team who strive for personal and professional excellence
Contribute to gathering customer and market insights
Optimize stock availability by proactively procuring goods from vendors
Assist the marketing team with supplier collaborations, promotions, product launches, and brand awareness activities
Maintain strong working relationships with our key supply chain partners
Work with internal and external sales teams to help translate customer insights into actionable plans
Maintain product data and SKUs information in Inventory Management system
Carry out range of analyses and detailed data reviews
Assist in the development and launch of new products, including VJT own brand
Support effective stock management and maintain targeted service levels

Skills you have:

Prior experience of working within a fast-paced construction or related industry procurement department
The ability to analyze key data and make accurate conclusions to support the category strategy (essential)
Knowledge of the Company, Market & Competitors (Desirable)
Prior experience of working with ERP systems
The ability to liaise effectively and build relationship with suppliers
Proficient in using IT packages (including Microsoft word and Excel, PowerPoint)
Good knowledge within Supply Chain
A proactive and flexible approach to plan and meet demanding deadlines

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
