The Opportunity:
We are looking for a proactive and organised Administration Apprentice to join our team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy office environment while supporting engineers and administration teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering excellent customer service through accurate and timely communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting and greeting visitors at reception
- Handling incoming calls, directing enquiries, and resolving queries
- Raising, recording, and receipting purchase orders
- Collating data and documentation for tender pre-qualification submissions
- Processing weekly timesheets and expenses
- Setting up meeting rooms for conferences and internal meetings
- Supporting general administrative duties and ad hoc tasks as required
Your skills and experiences:
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn and develop their administrative skills.
You will ideally have:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and IT at Grade 5 or above
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous office experience (desirable but not essential)
