Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, hard working and have a track record of decorating to a very good standard. This role will include a company expensed vehicle. The candidate would be working as part of our fit out team on various projects, mainly around the midlands and in live environments. The ideal candidate will be a tidy worker, presentable, and have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues when working on site.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Select appropriate materials and techniques for each project based on client specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to discuss project requirements, timelines, and any changes needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are safe to use.
- Keep work areas tidy and organised throughout the duration of each project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential.
- Ability to drive to various job sites as required.
- Be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials is advantageous.
