About the client:
Our client is a busy and well-established healthcare facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to the local community. They pride themselves on maintaining a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
An opportunity has arisen for a Cleaning Operative to join the team, helping to ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a clean and comfortable environment by supporting infection control measures and ensuring all areas are presented to an exceptional standard.
Hours of work:
Contracted to 12 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 18:30 to 21:00.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning consulting rooms, treatment rooms, and other clinical areas to a high standard
- Cleaning reception areas, waiting rooms, offices, and staff facilities
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities and replenishing consumables as required
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with site procedures
- Following infection control, COSHH, and health and safety guidelines at all times
- Ensuring all areas are clean, hygienic, and presented to an exceptional standard
- Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and responsibly
- Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or stock shortages to management
- Supporting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable, although full training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage workload effectively within allocated timescales.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual cleaning duties, including floor polishing and machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year cleaning experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
