Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Level 2 / 3 Nursery Bank Staff to join our childcare team. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the nursery, assisting with children's activities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in line with nursery programmes.
- Assist with supervising children’s play, learning, and social interactions to promote their development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff at all times.
- Support management in implementing policies related to child safety, health, and wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents or guardians to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal care as required.
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery activities, outings, and special events.
- Support management with administrative tasks related to child records and activity documentation.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings; early childhood education qualifications are advantageous.
- Strong management and leadership skills to support team coordination and children's development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, colleagues, and families.
- Experience working with children of various ages in a nursery or early years environment.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children’s needs.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting outings or transportation needs within the nursery setting.
