We are looking for a Multi skilled operative, to perform maintenance upkeep tasks such as repairs, cleaning and general tasks at the company and clients sites. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.
Also you will also be required to attend emergency call out jobs from time to time within a 30 mile radius from Doncaster, this will be at various sites & properties to make sure the site/property is made & left safe.
Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to succeeding in this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Main duties -
Tasks will vary on a daily basis and from site to site but mainly in the Doncaster area, tasks determined by the Project Manager and/or the client and may include:
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning activities such as clearing rubbish, boxes etc.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
- Install appliances, equipment, building furniture and flat packs
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, moving furniture
- Small minor building repairs, basic pluming, electrics & decoration at the offices, clients & emergency call outs
- Carry out minor joinery works at the offices, clients and emergency call outs
- Fencing and basic roofing works as required at the offices, clients and emergency call outs
- Carry out basic plaster boarding, plastering, tiling and bricklaying at the offices, clients and emergency call outs
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
Requirements -
- Carrying out a varied range of duties, requiring a minimum amount of supervision and use of own initiative
- Knowledge of reporting and assessing defects/damage
- Knowledge of completing all administration and documentation in an accurate and timely manner, including completion of job sheets for emergency call outs
- Ensure that all materials are available at the commencement of the jobs
- Comfortable with working in all weathers and seasons
- Will have your own tools but will be provided with replacements if and when needed
- Ability to work well as part of a team or individually
- Knowledge and experience of implementing health and safety rules and legislations
- Current and clean driving licence
- Good communication skills and a courteous personal manner to clients and staff
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Undergo training as required
- Competent, physically fit and able to do hard manual labour
- Keeping the company van and tool sheds clean and tidy and tools stored securely at all times
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30, plus opportunity for overtime.
You may also be required to work the occasional weekend.
A full clean drivers license is required.
Salary - £24,784.50 pa + Comprehensive benefits package.
