Duties
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and other technical drawings to produce precise components.
- Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts for quality, dimensions, and surface finish, utilizing basic math skills and measurement tools.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment, including loading, unloading, and storing raw materials and finished products.
- Utilize hand tools and tooling to perform minor adjustments or repairs on machinery or parts as needed.
- Support assembly processes by fitting machined components together accurately and securely, including welding when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery or in a manufacturing environment with a focus on fabrication or machining.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read CAD drawings and work with SolidWorks software.
- Familiarity with milling operations, tooling selection, and materials handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely in a warehouse or workshop setting.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Experience with welding, assembly, fabrication techniques, and materials handling is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety standards and quality assurance.
