Envases UK is a manufacturing company that has been operating out of Port Talbot since 1993 which has experienced steady and sustained growth based on a combination of global blue chip and smaller bespoke customer bases. Envases UK is part of the Envases group, which also incorporates a sister Company in Bilbao, Spain. The site at Port Talbot is a "state of the art" facility in which Envases manufactures aluminum aerosol containers that are used in personal care, healthcare and pharmaceutical products.
Envases strives for excellence in its operations and support functions in order to service the core Blue Chip customers that form a significant portion of its business. Due to this Envases has created a new role and is seeking to employ a Tool Room Technician.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing tooling and changeover equipment in advance of upcoming changeovers.
- Inspection of tools returned to the tool room for defects and quality.
- Ensure all tools are cleaned on return to the Tool Room.
- Stock control and ordering parts as necessary.
- Internal calibration for all internal measurement equipment.
- Support with coaching and training of Production team during changeovers.
- Record keeping and documentation (tools, calibration checks etc).
- Housekeeping within the Tool Room.
- Internal audits.
- Owner of Tool Room process and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills:
- HNC in Engineering.
- Time served apprenticeship in Engineering.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint to generate reports, analyse data and make recommendations for improvements.
- Able to understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Knowledge and experience of 5S Lean Manufacture.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Excellent communicator and ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Motivated to work alone and manage own workload and work within a team to deliver a task or project.
- Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Able to plan and prioritise.
- Competent on tool room machines such as Lathe, milling machine and grinders. Use of micrometre, vernier and height gauge essential.
- Previous tool making experience is desirable.
