Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee daily food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Develop and implement innovative menu ideas in collaboration with management
- Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to prevent shortages
- Train new staff members in food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Maintain a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner to meet service deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary or restaurant setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Skilled in food production, cooking techniques, and presentation
- Experience in team management and staff training
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service principles
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar establishment is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
