About Us
At School House Day Care Collections, we are committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, we support children's learning and development through play, creativity, and meaningful experiences, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
The Role
As Deputy Nursery Manager & SENDCO, you will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership and organisation of the nursery while leading our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision.

- Lead and inspire the team to deliver outstanding early years education and care for children aged 3 months to 4 years.
- Act as the nursery's SENDCO, ensuring inclusive practice is embedded throughout the setting.
- Identify and support children with additional needs, coordinating targeted support and individual learning plans.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.
- Support staff through coaching, mentoring, and guidance on inclusive teaching strategies and SEND best practice.
- Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework, ensuring they meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor children's progress, maintaining accurate observations, assessments, and SEND documentation where appropriate.
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in an early years setting, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- SENDCO experience or a strong understanding of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). SENDCO training is desirable or a willingness to undertake relevant professional development.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and inclusive practice.
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting every child to achieve their full potential.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

- Opportunities for professional development, SEND training, and career progression.
- Competitive salary and staff benefits.
- A well-resourced setting with a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
