Packing / Chocolate Room Operative
Hames Chocolates Ltd – Hawthorn Road, Skegness
Hames Chocolates is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Packing / Chocolate Room Operative to join our friendly production team in Skegness.
This is a hands-on role within our chocolate production and packing areas, where you will help create and prepare a wide variety of chocolate products throughout the year — from Easter Eggs and seasonal chocolates to cake decorations and other delicious products.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team and has a positive “can-do” attitude. Previous experience in food production is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right person.
The Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Making, handling and packing a variety of chocolate products to the required standards.
- Working across the Chocolate Room, Packing departments as required.
- Carrying out basic calculations and measurements, so good maths skills and attention to detail are important.
- Regular manual handling, including moving loads of up to 25kg.
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised.
- Following all food safety, health & safety and company procedures.
- Working efficiently to meet production requirements and deadlines.
- Supporting colleagues across different areas of the business when required.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures relating to production operations.
- Reliable and have good timekeeping and attendance
- Positive, enthusiastic and willing to get involved.
- Comfortable working as part of a busy team.
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Flexible and willing to support different departments when needed.
