Waiting Staff – The Globe Inn, Dumfries
Location: The Globe Inn, 56 High Street, Dumfries Salary: £26,000 – £27,000 per annum, depending on experience Hours: Full-time, typically 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
The Globe Inn is a historic inn in the centre of Dumfries, known for its food, drink and service. We are looking for a confident, well-presented member of Waiting Staff to join our Front of House team and help deliver a high standard of hospitality.
About the role
This is a guest-facing role in a busy restaurant and bar. You will take care of tables from greeting through to departure, work closely with the kitchen and bar, and help keep service running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional, attentive table service
- Take food and drink orders accurately and in a timely way
- Keep tables and service areas clean, organised and well presented
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar and Front of House colleagues
- Handle guest requests and queries calmly and efficiently

- Experience in a similar waiting or hospitality role
- A warm, professional manner with guests
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to stay organised during busy service
- A reliable, proactive approach
Pay and working pattern
Salary is £26,000 – £27,000 per annum, depending on experience. Hours are full-time and include evenings and weekends.
