To work efficiently, conscientiously, safely, and to maintain high standard of care provision supporting clients in their daily living activities.
Principle Responsibilities:
To work as part of a team and contribute to the home’s efficiency
To contribute and participate in staff meetings and attend update/refresher training whilst recognizing the need to self develop.
To adhere to the Home Policies and Procedures and raise awareness of non compliance.
To observe the Health and Safety Policy and work safely to include COSHH/PPE.
To enhance and promote the clients quality of life through effective working, efficiency and attention to detail.
To be caring, sympathetic and tactful when dealing clients and their relatives.
To assist clients with their personal care giving help in areas of bathing, washing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene and sanitary requirements but supporting independence.
To promote physical, mental health and social stimulation.
To report and record relevant information, relaying any concerns regarding health problems to the person in charge.
To take care of the Home, its contents and consider the appearance and impression of the Home.
To treat the clients individually with respect and preserve dignity whilst maintaining confidentiality.
To recognize and raise awareness of abuse or possible neglect, reporting through local safeguarding protocol.
To support the home’s philosophy, understanding the role of a carer and to adhere to the carer’s code of conduct.
You have a duty of care to have the appropriate vaccination relevant to protect the vulnerable clients that you serve.
