Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. A strong background in hospitality, food preparation, and team management is essential to excel in this role. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff and servers to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Develop and implement innovative drink menus, including cocktails and specialised beverages.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures.
- Train new staff members on service standards, food preparation, and safety protocols.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Monitor sales performance and prepare reports on daily operations.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production and ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting environment within the bar area.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally within a bar or similar setting.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality environment; barista experience is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience is desirable but not essential; relevant culinary experience will be considered favourably.
- A passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and a professional attitude are essential for success in this role.
Pay: £24,420.00-£42,896.59 per year
