About the Role
An established electronics manufacturer in Crawley is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in electronics or PCB manufacturing who is passionate about driving quality, continuous improvement and ensuring products meet the highest industry standards.
Working closely with Production and Engineering, you’ll be responsible for investigating quality issues, implementing corrective actions and helping improve manufacturing processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate internal quality issues, customer complaints and non-conformances.
- Carry out root cause analysis using different techniques.
- Analyse quality data and identify trends for continuous improvement.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality procedures.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Produce quality reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within an electronics or PCB manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of electronic manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Knowledge of IPC standards.
- Experience within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Looking for someone who is adaptable and can learn quickly.
