We are looking to recruit a nursery cook for our small, family feel nursery. This position is a full time position, Monday to Friday. Ideally we would like 8.30am to 4.30pm.
The cook will be responsible for preparing high quality and nutritious food for the children in our care. A Menu is currently in place however all input in valued. The daily meal preparation includes snacks, lunches and tea. The applicant must have strong knowledge of food hygiene and food allergy awareness however training will be provided.
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join our friendly nursery team on a 37.5-hour per week permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children. Plan balanced menus that meet dietary and nutritional requirements. Cater for allergies, special diets, and cultural preferences. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. Manage food orders, stock rotation, and kitchen records .Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations. What We're Looking For:Experience in a catering or cooking role (nursery, school, or care setting desirable).Knowledge of food hygiene and nutrition. Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).A caring, organised, and reliable approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
