Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Photographer & Pawnbroker Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a key job role within the company, working within both the photography and pawnbroker departments. You will spend 3 days a week within the photography department and 2 within the pawnbroker team, working to assist both teams when needed.
Responsibilities
- ·Capture high quality product images for e-commerce, ensuring speed and consistency while maintaining exceptional standards
- Edit and crop images for both online and print use, adhering to our photography guidelines
- Upload completed images onto the appropriate systems for departments to use
- Work closely with the catalogue managers to ensure timely completion of photography in time for sales listings
- Provide adequate support to other team members when requested to ensure a smooth workflow within the team
- Assisting the Pawnbroker team, 2 days a week with a range of tasks, such as:
- Checking in items upon arrival from H&T Pawnbrokers, sorting and matching with the catalogue
- Unpacking deliveries and flagging issues or missing items
- Ticket and lay out the auction prior to the viewing days
- Assist, when required, on viewing and auction days
- Assist, when required, with conducting pack up following the auction
- Assisting with the delivery and collection of lots including carrying the delivery up the stairs
- Supporting other team members to ensure smooth running of the department.
Qualifications
- Proven interest or experience in photography, journalism, or related fields
- Proficiency with Nikon or Canon digital cameras
- Experience with studio lighting
- Confidence in handling delicate and valuable items
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good timekeeping
- Ability to multitask
- Able to work collaboratively in a team
- Ability to balance workload effectively
- High attention to detail
- Proven experience with photoshop
- Experience in a photography setting
- Ability to manage occasional lifting, carrying and long photography settings
