Dog Grooming Apprentice – Level 2 Apprenticeship

Are you 16–18 and dream of working with animals every day? Join Sallywags in Northwood for a paid Level 2 Apprenticeship in Dog Grooming! Gain real-world experience in our grooming salon, daycare, and retail shop while you earn while you learn.
What You’ll Learn:
Bathing, drying & brushing dogs
Groom prep & hygiene
Nail clipping, ear cleaning, dematting & deshedding
Breed traits, behaviour & professional practice
Salon cleaning & equipment care
Client interaction & retail support
Your Day-to-Day:
Clean & sanitise the salon and daycare areas
Play with and exercise dogs in our daycare
Assess dogs before grooming
Assist with grooming and salon upkeep
Assist customers and help out in our retail shop
Lift dogs up to 20kg
Be part of a supportive, friendly team
No experience required – just confidence around dogs, a great attitude, and a love for animals!
What’s Included:
Functional Skills in English & Maths (if needed)
On-the-job training and portfolio building
End Point Assessment (observation, interview, test)
Finish in 13–18 months with a nationally recognised qualification!
