SEND EHCP Officer – Fully Remote
North West Local Authority | £266 per day | Fully Remote
We're currently recruiting for an experienced SEND EHCP Officer to join a well-established Local Authority in the North West on a fully remote basis.
This is an opportunity to work within a supportive SEND team, managing a statutory caseload and making a real difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for managing a caseload of statutory school-age EHCPs, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales and delivering high-quality case management.
Your duties will include:
- Managing Annual Reviews from start to completion.
- Coordinating and processing new EHCP assessments.
- Managing mediation cases relating to new assessments.
- Liaising with parents, schools, educational settings and multi-agency professionals.
- Producing clear, accurate and legally compliant EHCP documentation.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a SEND / EHCP role within a Local Authority
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and Children and Families Act 2014
- Experience managing the end-to-end EHCP process
- Must have worked within a Local Authority
