Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Supervisor for the Playmates After School Club. This role involves overseeing the daily activities of children, ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for childcare, and the ability to communicate effectively in. Duties
- Lead and supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Organise and facilitate a variety of engaging activities, including educational games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
- Coordinate with parents and guardians regarding children's daily needs
- Manage a team of assistant staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operation of the club
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages children's social and emotional development
- Assist in planning programme schedules that cater to diverse interests and age groups
Skills
- Level 3 Playworker Qualification
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities with experience supervising groups of children
- Excellent communication skills
- Passionate about working with children and committed to their development
- Patient, adaptable, and able to handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Organised with the ability to plan activities that are both fun and educational
- Knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures
- Knoweldge of creating policies
- Knowledge of managing a team of staff
- Admin skills
Hours of work
- 22 hours a week, with 20 hours within the setting between 2.00 and 6.00pm, 2 hours of paperwork time which can be taken at a suitable time for the candidate.
- 22 hours a week in School Holidays - these hours will be between 7.30am and 5.30pm additional hours are desirable in the School Holidays and will be paid accordingly

Pay: £17.00 per hour
