MSK Physiotherapist – Full-Time or Part-Time | Edinburgh
Join an exceptional team where clinical excellence and patient care come first.
The Physiotherapy Clinics is looking for an ambitious and experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join our established team across Edinburgh.
For more than 10 years, we have built a reputation for high-quality physiotherapy, combining excellent clinical reasoning, hands-on treatment and targeted rehabilitation with a genuinely patient-centred approach.
We have an outstanding and highly experienced clinical team, and we are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for physiotherapy and wants to continue developing within a supportive, professional and forward-thinking environment.
Our Approach
We don't believe in simply prescribing exercises and hoping symptoms improve. Our approach starts with exceptional assessment and diagnostic accuracy — supported where appropriate by imaging or specialist referral — so that rehabilitation and hands-on treatment are based on a clear understanding of the underlying problem, giving every patient the best possible chance of a successful outcome.
From the first consultation, we take the time to listen, assess thoroughly and understand not only the patient's symptoms, but what is actually driving their problem.
Our physiotherapists then guide patients through the complete journey from assessment and diagnosis to treatment, rehabilitation and return to sport, work or everyday life.
The Role
You will manage a varied private MSK caseload including:
- Sports and exercise-related injuries
- Spinal conditions
- Upper and lower limb injuries
- Tendon and soft-tissue conditions
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Acute and persistent MSK presentations
You will have the autonomy to assess and manage your patients properly while working alongside experienced clinicians who actively share knowledge, discuss challenging cases and support each other's development.
Our clinics also provide access to diagnostic ultrasound, focused and radial shockwave therapy and advanced rehabilitation equipment.
Previous shockwave experience is not required. Comprehensive training will be provided, giving you the opportunity to develop skills in both focused and radial shockwave therapy and their appropriate integration into MSK practice.
Who We're Looking For
We want someone who is clinically curious, motivated and passionate about becoming an outstanding physiotherapist.
You should have:
- A minimum of 2 years' MSK physiotherapy experience
- Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Strong hands-on assessment and treatment skills
- Confidence with progressive exercise rehabilitation
- Excellent communication and patient-management skills
- A genuine commitment to CPD and continued learning
- HCPC registration, or eligibility and willingness to register
We are particularly interested in clinicians who have gained MSK experience within the UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand, while equally welcoming physiotherapists who have developed comparable experience and clinical standards elsewhere.
More important than where you have worked is how you practise, how you think and the standard of care you want to provide.
Why Join Us?
We offer:
- An exceptionally experienced and supportive clinical team
- A strong and established private patient caseload
- Excellent earning potential
- Full-time or part-time opportunities
- Flexible working across our Edinburgh clinics
- Regular CPD, mentoring and peer learning
- Opportunities to develop advanced assessment and clinical skills
- Full training in focused and radial shockwave therapy
- Access to diagnostic ultrasound and advanced treatment technology
- Genuine opportunities for long-term professional development
We don't simply want someone to fill appointments.
We want another excellent physiotherapist to become part of our team.
Someone who enjoys assessing challenging presentations, discussing difficult cases and asking why a patient isn't progressing. Someone who values skilled hands-on physiotherapy alongside rehabilitation and takes pride in getting the assessment and diagnosis right before deciding on the treatment.
Above all, we want someone who cares about the entire patient journey and wants to work in an environment where high clinical standards genuinely matter.
If that sounds like the type of physiotherapist you are — and the environment in which you would thrive — we would love to hear from you.
